If so, you may be having reactions that seem unusual to you.  In some cases people have felt the need the ask questions like  “Am I Going Crazy?” or “What is Happening To Me?”

 

We all react to stress and traumatic events in our own way.  Your reaction may vary depending on the event and on past or present life experiences.   Let's look at some ways that trauma, crisis and loss may be affecting you.   

 

 

Physical - Traumatic events can have an effect on you physically.  

Cognitive -  Traumatic events can affect your ability to think and process information.

Emotional - A crisis event(s) may affect how  you feel.

Behavioral - A crisis or loss can result in a change in your behavior.  

Spiritual - A traumatic event(s) could affect your faith in negative ways.

Summary - It is common to have reactions to stress or traumatic events.  Most often your reactions will be “normal” reactions to an abnormal
